Car breaked by Crooks

According to Metropolitan Police, It is terribly easy for Crooks to steal your keyless car

It is a dilemma for Metropolitan Police that keyless cars are easier to forge down when it comes to car crime. Crooks can easily steal a car with keyless entry in UK. High-end cars stolen from UK and smuggled to African countries as last week’s story tells us. When police has stated that, during a single weekend of February, there were seventeen high-end vehicles stolen across London. These vehicles include Range Rovers, Land Rover Defender, Range Rover Evoque and several other models.

Metropolitan Police is fighting back this criminal activity and their operation endeavours involve more than 800 police officers patrolling twenty major roads.

Did you ever think that why it is easy to steal a car without keys? Experts say that there are multiple ways crooks can sabotage your car security without keys to gain access. The easiest one and most leading way is breaking a window after trying the door handles. Usually, some models remain unlocked if the driver’s key fob is nearby. Such as, on the window sill inside the house.

Secondly, they use a bit tricky method, when key-fob is far away from the short-range security signal to communicate with the car to unlock it. Crooks use this as an opportunity to unlock the car. Capture the signals on their device and transmit them to the mate standing with a receiver. Possibly, near to the owner of the car, owner thinks that his car is locked, but crooks unlock the vehicle.

They can also jam the signals from the owner’s key fob to the car. They send signals to the fob that car is locked, but it isn’t. Owner walks away, leaving the crook to sneak on board. Whichever method they gain access to the car, remaining process is even easy. They access the onboard diagnostic port, record the car data and all done in less than 15 seconds. Now your car is in the control of crooks.
