Rowan Atkinson is best known for his legendary role as Mr Bean and having crashed his cars every now and then

Rowan Atkinson is famous for his character Mr.Bean and also known as owner of some high-end racing machinery like Bugatti Veyron, McLaren F1 etc, and a Rolls Royce with the biggest and powerful engine in the world. He gained quite a popularity for crashing his cars every now and then, where the most famous of crashes is the crash of his high-end McLaren F1 and clamming the highest insurance bill in the history.

The same bad luck followed him at the Goodwood Revival Vintage Racing when among so many other competitors, Atkinson aka Mr Bean was taking part in retro racing in England. He was driving a Classic Ford Falcon Sprint in the Shelby Cup event and after losing control of his vehicle, crashed his Falcon into another car.

Reports say that two cars spun out of control, drivers somehow managed to avoid the crash and pile-up but Atkinson on the other hand wasn’t so fortunate at all, unable to steer clear, he hit the obstructing vehicle. He was fortunate enough to have survived the crash and any major injuries and managed to walk away on foot. Reporters were unable to make an estimate of the damage done to the poor Falcon, but it was for sure that Rowan was out of the race.

Atkinson for those who don’t know, is a certified automotive enthusiast and owns McLaren F1 which as we said, he has crashed several times. Sometimes he writes for Car Magazine, once held the BBC Top Gear leader board. He is one of the leading actor, star and film director of his film Johnny English Reborn in which he exclusively used his own Rolls-Royce V16 prototype.
