The world will enjoy the resonant sound of the Mercedes V8 again, this time, it is another monster the AMG GT3

Mercedes has earned a good name and place in the luxury and sports cars segment. Every passing year, The German car manufacturer brings a brand new monster and this has been done yet again. Mercedes-AMG has unleashed their newest beast, the one which will take your breath away, it’s the AMG GT3. Merc is entering in the 2016 season with this blazingly fast vehicle which is going to take over the SLS AMG GT3, previously very well appreciated.

Now what kind of Mercedes engine are we talking about here? Is it the same as the road-going GT is using? No, the GT3 is not going to be powered with this brand new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, rather, it’ll be using a roaring 6.2-litre V8. This magnificent engine has lots of revs, and is so loud that it’ll open up your arteries, and it doesn’t even have a turbo. This engine is used in outgoing SLS AMG GT3, and Mercedes believes ‘the world will enjoy the resonant sound of this V8’.

It’s a rear wheels powered vehicle which is backed up by a six-speed sequential gearbox. The power output – though has not been disclosed yet – would be well over 550bhp for sure. Rest of the car has inherited all major traits from GT supercar but with few up gradations. Now it boasts larger air intakes, wider tracks, a compulsory massive rear wing and of course, a bigger diffuser.

Its rigid space frame is made up of all aluminium, and underneath, it is the carbon fibre seat pan and an integral roll cage for additional safety. All around it are the brilliantly integrated aluminium double wishbones.

When you look at this big boys’ car, all you see is the beauty and perfection. the engine cover, front wing, doors, front and rear aprons, side skirts, sidewalls, boot lid, diffuser, wings, everything is made of carbon fibre. What you get is a monster which is really light weight yet potent enough to beat up anything in the world.

We definitely would love to see this mad machine perform against the Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston, Nissan and rest of the hard-core GT3’s in the world. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long for this, this beast is about to make its debut in Geneva motor show next week.
