Like other automakers, Ford has decided to focus on the Hybrid and petrol-electric models as the EcoBoost technology has become their preference. They have recently decided to improve the EcoBoost technology in the next ten years and diesel engines will be kept on back. \u00a0Ford\u2019s product development<\/strong><\/a> boss has said, \u201cThis year we\u2019ll be selling well over 1 million EcoBoost engines globally, and we sold more EcoBoost engines than we did diesel engines<\/strong><\/a> globally last year, which was a big milestone for us.\u201d<\/p>\n Ford has faced a 45.8 per cent fall in diesel sales in 2013, when they share it with the EcoBoost or petrol sales. Last year in 2014, figure has further decreased to 44.9 percent.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cThere is still a lot of development potential left when it comes to efficiency for both EcoBoost. We\u2019re a long way from seeing the end of the line on conventional technology, we are going to see for the next 10 years continued development on traditional petrol and diesel.\u201d With the expansion<\/strong> in operations<\/strong><\/a> of EcoBoost technology, Ford has decided to expand its Hybrid operations.<\/p>\n Ford has strong footing in North American markets where they sold Hybrid cars. It is second best after Toyota but Ford has decided to expand their operations across the European markets in near future.<\/p>\n Bakaj further said that they are in the phase now, where they are developing electrified technologies as a part of Ford\u2019s global strategy.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cWhen we develop hybrid and electric technology now we design it to sell it all around the world.
